Volunteering

Hi All
Volunteering is an awesome way to travel, but must be managed responsibly.
I have dealt with many volunteers, that are left to their own devices, by some big players in the industry .
They meet them at the airport, take them to their accommodation, do the orientation and deliver them to their project. I have witnessed volunteers, being put on public transport, to get to the project of their choice? Unfortunately some of these volunteers are female and safety being, the company under discussions, motto.....?
If we want to keep the volunteer industry's reputation squeaky clean, we need to take responsibility of volunteers. They are paying to come to our country and give their time and efforts. Should we not resupricate with excellent service and care? Some volunteers save for up to a year to make their dream happen.
Let us be proud and responsible South Africans and take great care of our guests while they are visiting our country and contributing their time to our society.
Take care!!

  2. Welcome to SA Volunteers - We now also offer Volunteer, Student Exchange and TEFL Course in Thailand

    Volunteering

SA Volunteers is committed to having a positive impact on the environment by supporting various wildlife and conservation volunteer projects and contributing to a better life for disadvantaged communities. The volunteer work provide volunteers with enriching and life changing experiences in Africa and give them the opportunity to develop an understanding of different cultures, get close to nature and have the opportunity to volunteer and share with others.
You will discover that South Africa is one of the most beautiful countries in the world and rated as one of the top destination in the world.

All SA Volunteers staff members are passionate about voluntourism and this reflects in everything they do. We adhere to strict codes of conduct and always strive to provide high levels of service to our volunteers and volunteer work projects.

Every volunteer’s contribution is appreciated and makes a difference to our world. We want to ensure that while you are volunteering abroad and experiencing life in Africa, you will leave behind a legacy!

    Thailand TEFL Course

The TEFL`s 4 week intensive course on an island in Thailand offers both practical training and classroom sessions to equip you with the knowledge and skills required to teach English to non-native speakers. Practical training as a teacher will be done at an International English school and at a local Thai school. Being immersed into this `real school environment` will give you the confidence required to teach on your own, once you qualify. The benefits of doing some teacher practices at the International School, means that you not only get practice teaching Thai students, but also children of many nationalities.

    Student Exchange Program

This is an opportunity for high school students aged 16 to 18 years old to experience South Africa`s many cultures rather than as a tourist. We offer high school programs from 3 months minimum to a whole school year. Our students study at a high school in Cape Town and will be part of a South African host family. Making friends in South Africa is the perfect chance to get to know a different reality, improve your English, learn and broaden your horizons.

Please look at our website www.savolunteers.com for more details.

We look forward hearing from all Travellers.
